n00b Question (Tachometer)

Hey Guys,

This is my first post here... sweet little forum, it’s good to see there are a lot of enthusiasts still interested in trikes.

I have recently sold my 1982 Big Red and picked up a 1981 250R.

I have been restoring it over the winter season and am hoping to wire up a tachometer. I am not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination. Could one of you guys set me up with detailed instructions on how to do this?

the first step would be to find a tach compatible with a single cylinder 2-stroke.. I am just curious, but why do you feel the need for a tach?
