My 250es big red appears to me to have more engine noise and vibration then what I would consider normal at high(er) RPM. I do not know the history of the motor but the condition of this Big Red does not appear worse then average for its age. I have noticed a few issues that have me concerned. When moving in and out of 1st and reverse to manuver I will need to monitor the throttle or the engine may die. If I adjust the idle up, it will idle too high when in neutral. Although it will start right up, I have noticed some intermittent issues of not obtaining a steady idle even when the engine gets warm. It sometimes will appear to idle too high and then when adjusted it will idle too low at later point. I also have noticed that the motor seems to struggle obtaining higher rpms under a load (when moving) until completly warmed up (15+ minutes?). When trying to run it up it feels like it has much more vibration then normal and sounds a bit loud or "howly". I would very much appreciate some input of other 250sx or 250es riders if these symptoms sound typical of the motor or if I may be experiencing cam, piston slack, or lower end issues of some sort. Would there be anything that I might be able to inspect, test, or replace to avert any potential future damage? THANKS to everyone for help with some of my other recent posts as a newbie in the forum!!
