ok so i already have a stock 300ex rear shock for my t3, but i have come acrossed nice elka rear for the 300ex, and i can get it for dirt cheap. my question is seeing is how it bolts up to the 300ex it should be basically the same set up for the t3 right? will be sweet having an elka rear on the t3...

that sounds right. only problem you may have is if it has a remote rezzie on it. have to find a place to mount it, would depend on how long the hose is. if its short you may not get it to fit right.

the hose is long enough i think i can mount it where it should be mounted on the frame, which is cool.

How was the stock 300EX shock treating you?

My '85 Tecate's original shock is on borrowed time, and I've considered the Honda shock. I know it not adjustable, but I've jumped a buddy's 300EX pretty hard without harsh bottoming, and mine bottoms real easy. I've yet to own a Tecate out of the 4- '85s, 1-'84, and 2-'86s with a shock that wasn't blown.....even on a machine was just 2 years old.

I don't plan on getting big air, so I just need something that works good, will last longer than the Kawi shock, and is easy/cheap to replace.

If you don't plan on jumping big time......there are no problems!

I've seen too many bent 1st generation Tecate forks to want to punish parts I can't afford to replace. Besides, I have an RM80, a CR125, and a KX250 at my disposal if I want very much air.

If the 300EX shock works as well on my Tecate as it does on a 300EX, it's much better than what I have and I can live with that.

Thanks.
