Once my mounting bolts are off, how hard should it be to pull the pipe from the motor? I can't seem to get it to move and don't want to break anything. Also, what seals that connection-a gasket? I definatly have an exhaust leak there.

tap it with a mallet and to seal it use muffler cement

well, I pulled the pipe off, cleaned everything really well, and sealed it with high temp gasket maker. Hopefully it'll work--if not, it'll be a messy clean up.
