Hey guys, im wondering if anyone else runs VR1 in there trikes for its supposed higher ZDDP in it for better protection on cams and etc. It says not recomended for wet clutches does that mean its not good for it? Will it hurt it? I run 20w-50 normally, but I only run my bike in 50 or above temperatures down here.

calm down..........i run this AND harley davidson recomends this oil for there buels (spelling?)as well.....and you can emagine how pickey they are.
it will be 100% fine, i used VR1since the early 90s....no clutch problems
it has a high gear shear rating witch makes it a great motorcyle oil. i use 20-50 as well

I've been running VR1 pretty much since i got my trike 3 years ago. Seams to be good stuff, Ive never had clutch problems. I think a lot of people here run it...

I was just concerned about the listing on the Vr1 site saying not recomended for wetclutches. I guess its a double edged sword. You get good lubrication on your motor guts with higher ZDDP, but maybe a little less benefits on wet clutchess.
