Suzuki ALT 125
125lbs compression
Getting Fuel and or Starting fluid
Spark is strons and Blue, but here is the deal.
Only intermittent.
I can pull it 10 times and have a spark twice.
Then the spark will go away completely.
Then come back.
I am awaiting a manual in the mail, but I do not think it will tell me to do much else.
I am using the factory timing marks, so it has to be the spark being almost absent but strong.
Thanks in advance if I get any sugestions.....Vince

have you checked all the connections on it. that sounds like a connection problem.

One time I had a wire crimped inside the on/off switch that did almost the same thing.

I agree didn't you say this bike sat for a while? First check the output with a multimeter to make sure your machine has a constant stator output. If thats constant then, I'd say unplug every end and touch them with some sand paper, or something abrasive just to clean then up a little and make them shiny. If that doesn't work spend the 15 bucks and buy some new wire ends at napa, you can cut off the old (make sure you have enough slack before cutting) then just simply strip the wires and stick a new end on...

Thanks all for the info. Just to be clear.....I had the entire stator system off....cleaned inside and out. I don't know the values for the output coils, but I have two of them and they both test out to Be the same. Same with the lighting coils. My plugs are brand new NGK AND CHAMPION gapped correctly. No oil. Magnets were bathed and air gunned off. I like the idea of doing new connections all around. Again, thanks for all the help. please keep the ideas coming if you got em. ......V

WITHOUT A MANUAL, any guess what the stator output might be? Should have manual any day now......V

you should start with the connections on the coil. On my 250r i had a problem like that and i took some sand paper to the connectors and wala it worked
