Hey Everyone,

I have NO brake pressure on the front brake lever.

I pulled the mc cover and the brake fluid was MUD. So, I pulled the mc, cleaned it all out, blew out the brake line and filled with fluid.

Still not pumping any fluid through the line! I pulled the bleed screw out of the caliper and when I pumped the brake, I could hear air coming through the caliper but I can't build any brake pressure. I've never been through the brake system before, maybe there's more to it than just filling the mc with fluid and pumping the system up to bleed it?

Any ideas??

Thanks,

T

you have to have the bleeder in and tight when you let off the lever or it will just suck the air back in. you pull the lever in then loosen the bleeder to let the air out, then tighten it before letting the lever go and repeat until all the air is gone.

I had a Tecate master that had old fluid in it and wouldn't bleed out. Guess it was junk. I just went down to the local dirt bike scrapper and got a master from some bike.

Thank you both. I'll try to properly pump the air out.

I've had great luck with attaching a hose(your fuel tank vent tube will work) to the bleeder, a syringe to the other end of the hose, and drawing air out of the system when I couldn't get the system to pump up and bleed in the traditional manner.

Just open the bleeder screw and draw the syringe out(not ALL the way out of course), close the bleeder screw, remove the syringe frome the tube and push the plunger back down, reattach and repeat till you draw fluid out.

Works everytime for me. Good luck.
