Why go and buy another 3 wheeler ofcourse! Picked up this 86' 350x tonight for $600! He didnt have it advertised anywhere thankfully. He mentioned he had one in a thread on a car forum where I was selling a 225dx. Another guy was trying to get it too I guess (the guy who bought mine in that forsale thread on the car forum) according to the seller tonight, but I beat him to it because he said they couldnt get their schedules to line up. He didnt really know alot about it, just that it had some value. He got it 2 yrs ago when he sold his ATV. The guy didnt have all the money so made up the balance with the ATC. It was in a shed way in his backyard. It fired right up and we drove it out to the street through a foot of snow atleast. I looked it over front to back side to side as best I could with a flashlight then took it for a ride. The clutch pull was nice and easy and the front and rear brakes actually stopped it really well. Inside of the tank is clean as a whistle. Needs tires, grab bar, fork seals, chain sprocket couldnt hurt, case saver, chain guard, air filter, oil change, and a new pipe. I dont like the cobra pipe on it. Will my 85 200x rims bolt up? How about the grab bar? Also a previous owner (not the guy I bought it from) messed up the plastics by drilling holes and installing hideous looking mudflaps which I removed asap tonight. Was a pain in the butt but I couldnt stand looking at them one more second. Hosed it down as best I could for now. I'll get back at it again tomorrow.
The rims on the 200 are douglass rims. those are what I wana put on it. And the mudflaps I took off pictured as well. yuck

thanks guys. best part was no long drive. Usually I pack a sandwich before leaving to buy a trike or whatever toy im after but this was so close I didnt even have to hop on the threway! Just staright on a main road 2 turns and there. For around where I live if anyone else had been selling it Im sure the asking price would have been more than twice what I paid for it.

I had to lay low on buying trikes till the funds start flowing again. Besides that, I can't hid them in the bushes till the leaves come back.

I checked the frame out as much as possible before I bought it and also when I got it home. I read that thread on problem areas so had an idea where to look. Those factory gussests/braces they put in are still straight too. I saw they can look bent . I checked all over and didnt see anything. There could always be some hairline crack I missed but havent spotted anything yet. UserJ, I live in West Seneca. I probably couldda offered him 500 and gotten it. But I just sold my 400ex and had a crap load of money on me so I didnt feel the need to lowball THAT bad. 600 felt like a steal anyways, especially around me they are never that cheap.

Luckily I knew nothing about this. I would have been all over that like white on rice in a blizzard on the SKYWAY...
Skyway...damn that throws everyone off but the native WNY'ers...

Good deal! A 350 is gonna be my next trike (probably after the 500 is finished). As for those rims fitting, it wont work. Only 86/87 200x'x had the 4/110 bolt pattern like the 250R's and 350x's.

aw that stinks. atleast I found out first before trying it myself. from what I see the grab bar off the 85 200x roller I have will bolt up. So Ill get at that tomorrow. Had to do some interior house painting today so didnt get a chance to play in the garage. but definately tomorrow.

Maybe you could switch the hubs out, I'm not sure if the splines are the same though.

250R and 350X splines are the same though, right?
I thought 250R/250X/400EX/200X all shared the same 24 or 25 splines...hmmm
