anyone know. i'm pretty sure it will since a new ricky is for an 84-88. that one in the link is for 86-88. it will take the kx puller to remove though. i would like to have someone that knows if it would work tell me before i purchase it.

I can't tell you for sure, but I don't think it will.

Do you want one to re epoxy or what? I have several stockers, the one I took off my running motor is all there, but the magnets have some wiggle. I have wondered if you could drill a couple holes and then epoxy the bleep out of it then maybe rivet or screw them in.

I started the motor to make sure it ran then pulled off the fly and waited for the ricky stator to show up. Seen a few broken cases from those stupid stock flywheels.

That KX250 flywheel smaller than Tecate and the stock Tecate stator coils are larger.
So from my experience with both ignitions this is not a possibility.

The general advice around here is- if you switch to KX ignitions parts you need the complete set.

One magnet came off mine. It is not good.

I know you don't have the money, but the Ricky flywheel is by far your best bet. Any stocker is just gonna be a ticking time-bomb. I forgot, I've got one out in the shed that looks like somebody re-glued the magnets. It's still on the motor so I don't know how butched it is. If you really want I can take it off and see how bad it is, but I'd just save up for the Ricky Stator one if I were you.

I agree. Better safe than sorry.

mine must have been new old stock. it was really clean. the only reson the mag failed is because the stator bolt backed out...

hey fabio, how much for the one you have. since it's all there i can use some panel bond to reinforce it. that panel bond is very strong, we been restoring plastic trike fenders with it lately, just not cheap though

I don't want anything but shipping for mine. First I gotta pull it off the motor a see if all the magnets are there. It might be trashed...
