Looking to throw some mud tires on new 70 build? Anyone ever use 8" adapters or can I take another route? Not much choice for the 7" ya know?

Just put some air fooler (83-84 250r) hubs on it. Then you can put 4x110 bolt pattern and had alittle bit better choice. My new project has the hubs with 3inch spacers on it so I can fit an 18" tire on the rear.

you may have to do a gearign change if you start playgin int he mud. or anothe ridea could be get a set of the 6 inch rims and carlisle make sthe trail wolf in 145/70x6 size they arent a mud tire but thier alot better than the regular dimpled knobby.

Do you think I will need a gear change? Brand new 90cc krc motor with 20mm carb? Replaced front 17 tooth that came on it with smaller 14 tooth. I'm hopin' that will do, maybe put a cdi upgrade on it and a pipe also? Thanks for the info, looking at the R hubs right now as I am typing this on ebay.... Oh ya, will the 250 r hubs spread the width in the rear any or is it the same? Need just a little for my rear kicker? trike on......

Better yet, find some hubs from a TRX300 or 400EX. 450R hubs will also work.

Same 4-110 bolt pattern and they have a bit of offset built into them. I run them on my 70 and my 200X. I'm not sure, but I'd guess they have at least 1.5 inches of offset per side.

Be a little carefull of what you buy tho, I went this route, guy said they where off a 83 250r, $20 of Ebay with shipping, bichin' deal, but they where 4x130. Still wasn't a huge problem, nothing a little bit a drilling couldn't solve.

I also ordered one 200x hub just before I found these. So I had payed for the 200x hub, that I did not need. No problem, but it did solve the question I had about wether or not if they would work. AND THEY DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 200x hub looks so much cooler, actually is the 4x110, and kicks the wheels out a bit further too! if your axle is a 24slpine, most likely it will work great! Hope it works out for you, I am not nearly done yet, but here is what it looks like so far. I know yours is a 70, but I am pretty sure they are the same. and obviously you would not go with such a large tire, but the main concept is there. Enjoy!
