If I use 250r rear hubs on 70, will footprint be wider or will I have to use spacers? If so, what is the cheap way to go???

Well it will make it just a tad wider (maybe 1/4 inch) but if you really want it wider, you will need spacers. Since you are changing the bolt pattern to the 4x110, spacers are very easy to find. In fact that is what I am using for the green 70 project I am building.

Hey Mike thanks for the compliment. I dont have it completed at this time as I have a few other projects left to complete and have a deadline (another grean machine tecate haha). But I am hoping to have the tecate and green 70 at this ride in April to give it some serious cool color.
Check the link below and that is the build up thread I posted. I still have to put her together but tecate comes first.

i think you mean 250x/300ex/400ex/450r hubs...they are all 3/4-1'' wider and have the right spline count for a 70.
