I just bought a 350x for $275 they said it didnt run. i tried kicking it over and its a leg breaker but it does spin and seemed like if the decompression was working it might run. I just cant get it spinning. so my question is how do you activate if you will the valve decompression on this bike.

it'll activate on it's own if adjusted properly. check up top where the cable is, running from near the kickstarter to near the cam.

you want the tiniest bit of slop in the cable...less than an eigth of inch or so I've found.

might want to check your valves as well.

Your best bet would be to pull the clutch cover and have a look. Is there any adjustment left in the clutch cable itself? I'd start there....

$275?!?!?! Post some pics!!!

i got it figured out they person who put a new clutch in it im assuming the guy i got it from had a washer on the clutch bearing surface and was not letting it disengage and no gasket on clutch cover so i fixed both of them and it runs now. 275 for a running driving 350x lol. now i have to clean the carb. i tried putting pics up but they are too big should i have to reduce the picture size

about pictures, your best bet is to set yourself with a photobucket acount.. alot of people on here use it

another question does anyone have a twist throtle on their 350? i honestly cant stand mine because it seems like when you hit any bumps your hand is constantly making it rev up and it has a bit of torque so it lunges forward a bit. so if that makes sense does the thumb throtle help solve this problem?

sweet score for that price, looks like the tires are worth that. that bike running or not would easily fetch 800 or more around here.

That's crazy dude. Looks like a sweet score! Lotta nice goodies on that one exterior wise. How does she run? Pretty nice huh compared to the airfoolers. Airfoolers are all "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" while the 350x you can feel it being fast, but it's like you can finally relax!

runs perfect. i love the power. 250 is nothing compared to the torque if you ask me. although my 250 has a 14 tooth front sprocket it runs neck and neck with my 350

Yeah I have 18"s on my 250R and it's all acceleration. I love the gearing and the 6 speeds on the 350x. Lovin that top end.
