I have a lime green seat for my 350x that has tha ATC on the side of it...and it didn't cost that much.
if your rear and front plastics are not cracked and white, you can get a decent amount for them on ebay.
hell I've got a set of red ones sitting in a box behind the shop...never to be used.

ya those oem fenders with the garnish are worth a fortune, especially if they are clean. Every time we ride and my uncle comes on his 350x I cringe. Hes like 52 and has a nice set of rears with a perfect garnish, and he rolls it, or goes over backwards alot. I keep telling him to get a set of maiers and take em off before he cracks them. I tried to tell him what there worth:crazy:

Buy some Maier replacements and put your stockers on the shelf. I bought my 200x off of a guy who bought it in pretty much excellent condition for the year. It had all the stock decals, the fenders were in great shape, and the gas tank was rust and dent free.
He bought new tires, the stockers were dry rotted something fierce, and started to ride it. He rolls it down a hill one day and pretty much ruined the value of the bike. Smashed the fenders all up and put a huge dent in the tank. Just by looking around online I would have probably placed that trike in the $12 to 1500 hundred dollar range. I bought it after the accident for $400.
Die-hard Honda freaks are probably more brand loyal than 90% of Harley guys. Guys that want to restore their bikes to showroom condition will pay through the nose for quality OEM parts.
I did replace the smashed stock tank with a Clarke (hate the fact that it doesn't have shrouds) and I will be replacing what's left of the stock fenders with white Maier units. Might as well change the color since It's not worth much now. Hides scratches better and doesn't fade.

aldochina, I know what you mean about those OEM fenders. That's the same things my buddies say when I ride my 86' 350X. I would risk bodily injury though to save them, so as you see crashing is not an option.... Some pic's right before we headed out to Crown King in AZ. http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo120/Zopt96/100_56231.jpghttp://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo120/Zopt96/100_56241.jpg

i have been watching the rear fenders on ebay they was 1725 last time i looked. that is crazy to me. i have seen really nice 350x's go for that price. i had to build a bumper for my rearend last night my stepdad rode my 350 and destroyed my rear fenders in a role but they had already been broke and platiwelded back together. but i do have a perfect stock front fender is it worth anything?

I just watched a NOS front fender last week sell for almost 400.00!! To some money is no object
I bet that NOS 350x seat brings over 600$ buy time it is over.
I can remember just a few years ago, NOS OEM 350x plastics bringing like 3 grand on Ebay..Just for the rear fenders.

I'm in the Northeast. I simply cannot expect nice stuff to last IF I enjoy riding; and I do enjoy riding very much!!
I'd LOVE OEM fenders but they ere discontinued and basically unavailable now so I'll most likely never own them again.
Whats plastic worth to you guys?? If I can't dress my machine up for under 250$, I'll get something I can..... I nearly always refuse to run stickers because I blow them off with the pressure washer and at the cost of them, why do I care if my ATC "looks" pretty when I want to ride it!
I met a guy a few months back that I bought an ATC70 from and he showed me his 86X with nice red plastic and his 86 OEM white stuff that was cracked, but fixable.... I think I offerd him 100$ for it, there was a hole drilled in it or something but he decided to list it on EBAY.
I've seen them listed 3 times now with an opening bid of about 300$ or so. It never met the reserve.... I think he was jumping on the OEM plastic bandwagon  and I can't blame him. He has since seperated the fenders from the mudfalp and rolled with that.
I don't want OEM, they are far to valuable and rare for me. My rear fender was very nice until I crashed and a guy hit me from behind and wiped out the left side. Was that his fault? if I made the corner (on snow/ice) he never would have hit me. If he were a bit further behind me, he MAY not have hit me......
BUT, thats the point of this. I never blamed him or felt upset about the situation. If you want to ride then you must assume the risks..... And thats why "riders" should avoid running rare parts they are so worried about. If I'm reckless and I hit you then we'll talk, but if your riding and stuff happens, you just have to roll with it.
Be glad we HAVE Maier guys, there may be a day that Maier is just as valuable to us as the OEM once was.......
All the more reason to convert these trikes to more modern machines. It will simply have to go that way in the near future.
Dirtcrasher,
You bring up some very good points. You actually touched on exactly what has been going through my mind since I picked up that 86 350X a few weeks ago. The OE parts, plastics ect, are in very good shape. Not perfect, but very good IMO. I would say they are an 8-9 on a 1-10 scale.
I bought this thing because I wanted to fulfill my teenage dreams of owning and riding one. I was never able to have anything this nice at that age. I intend to clean this thing up and keep it as nice as possible but still enjoy it to some extent. I will ride it but save the thrashing for my YFZ.
I have SERIOUSLY thought of purchasing some Maier plastics to run on it for fear of tearing up what I can never replace. This machine means too much to me to tear up, and it means too much to me not to ride. Does that make sense?
I realize that it's ultimately up to the owner, but what is the overall opinion of the group on this topic?
