Pulse generator question

Can anyone tell me if a pulse generator is supposed to spin freely even without the cam turning? or is it supposed to be stationary? When I originally took the PG off the cam it was tight and wouldnt spin without the motor/cam turning over but now that I put it back on its spinning freely.

No, it should turn with the cam. There is a small pin that goes in the cam and there is a notch for the pulse generator to slide into the pin.

oh, it is a honda 110/125/185/200 motor you are working on, right?

cancel this thread I figured it out my pin fell out trying to fit the PG in there Doh! Fixed and runnin.
