Ok, my 250r is stock except for the slip on which I'd imagine offers no real gains.

What is the best combo of reeds & exhaust pipe? And what sort of jetting would need to be done?

I don't see much for exhausts available for the 83/84... are any still made?

And I see many reeds... fiberglass, carbon fiber, dual stage... help!

i can't way what is best. it all depends on what your doing to it and with it.

if your going big (300 cc or bigger) you need to get ahold of some one like 1upfront.

i will be using pro 44 reeds, pj34 carb with k&n , jemco pipe with a custom fmf made to fit. jug is bored out to 71.50 (had to bore it this much)

as far as jetting, i am going to start with something like a 160 main, and go from there.

i here that v force reed set up is the killer set up. but they are kind of pricey, at least for me they are.

that is what i am doing at this point in time!!!!!!

What if I keep the stock bore?

if you keep the stock bore you can still run the 34 and do the reeds and stuff like that. not a problem. just make sure you jet it!!!!!!!!!1

as far as pipes, dg is still making pipes and silencers for these old air foolers. i waited till i found one i liked on ebay.

good luck

Heh yah, I saw that. Crazy price though.

So where can I find the parts you listed? The reeds, carb, etc?
