So i have been searching for a carb kit for my 86 250R with no luck. Finally got ahold of a guy at Carb Parts Wharehouse that acted like he remembered that Honda once made 3-wheelers. He said that the stock carb was a Honda exclusive part # 016-039. So i Google that and it shows a rebuild kit for that carb for a 2000-03 TRX350. Can any of you fellers chime in as to what exact carb the 86 came with and where to get parts for it. I'm gonna stop by the local shop tomorrow and see if i can't talk to someone who knows what the h!ll they are selling. I am having a hard time believing that these carb retailers have a carb and parts for every year ATV ever made except for an 86 like they never existed. Allright i'm done ranting.

Mine came with a keihin, but I'm not sure what model number, I'd have to dig it out of the box. I put a 39mm Striker on mine and it kicks ass, unless you're doing a restore, I'd go aftermarket. My brand new striker cost about 200 bucks on e-bay for my 86R.

Taiser, can you post the ebay link where you bought a 39mm striker carb. I was not aware that keihin made a 39mm air striker. I have seen the 38mm air striker carb advertised. Thanks

250r came with a 34mm Keihn PJ...

a reworked 36PJ or an out of the box 38-39 Air striker are better replacements as said above. or the 35 AS if you want more bottom end power..
