I talked with Tom from DC plastics this morning and convinced him to make a run of Zinger front fenders in yellow, blue, and red. I have sent him one of my fronts for the mold. It's looking like 2 months before he can start but they should be ready by late April!

Tom stated he would be making these with the plastic that has no sheen, a matte finish if you will. He did however state he could make these with a shiny finish but the price of the material increases.

I would assume the fenders would go for $49-54 in the matte finish and 59-69 in the shiny. What would you buy? I'm in for the shiny :D

Please forward any feedback you may have.

Why anyone would want anything but the shiney, would be beyond me.

Yay! I posted this idea in the DC Plastics thread. I'll take 1 of each color. Shiny of course.

I couldn't imagine anyone wanting a "matte" or dull finish one. everyone likes their plastics to match.

good idea. this is one of those nearly impossible parts to find in good condition. If you have the money and are planning to pick up a zinger eventually this is a must have!

did DC plastics ever make the ST shrouds and a few of those HL bezels or shrouds these guys were talking about in that other thread in the new product and development forum?

we gotta support these guys that are willing to go out of their way to make these things and help out our little triking community! :beer

PS.. I know where there is mint blue one! :naughty: it's on a zinger that you put a quarter in and ride out in front of our local Kmart!

Does that zinger still got the engine in it? and you should see if you can buy it.

If the engine is still in the quater machine. The head is welded and the piston etc are taken out.I had a little dirtbike from one of those type of machines.I could save anything.Plus the rear fenders are fiberglass...

It was a freak thing. My wife was going down with her friend.Who backed out right before Keri was to pick her up...Then the starter went on the GMC.We got it going again. This wasnt the first time it was the GMC had that problem.I asked my mechinic friend down the road to make certain it was good.If not throw a new one in... Anyways.I started to have some beers with my brother and headed out to get lit with the wife and kids going away.when she called and told me what happened....

Long story short.I threw all the tools outta the back of my work truck.Cleaned the insed quick, and headed down at 8:30 at night. still in my work clothes...... I think we pass threw your neck of the wood...My mother-in-law lives in Matthews.... Ill definitly hit you up next time.
