Speedometer help

Okay I've won this atc Speedometer on eBay really cheap and it was in a little rough shape so I wanted to refurbish it as you can see in the pic's I have most of it apart but I cannot figure out how to get the reset dial off to get the gear's out. Also there is a little hole on the reset dial shaft and was wondering if that has anything to do with taking it off. Any help would be appreciated

cant help you with that, but how did you get the glass off, do you have to pry the lip out all th way around? seems like it would deform the metal to much

I had to use a small flat head screwdriver to lift up the chrome lip that holds the glass down and want all the way around it. And it didn't deform the metal to much so I still should be able to put it all back together and make it look like it was never taken apart
