i'm new to paypal, and have sold a few things on ebay. this one guy paid me for an item, and he has an unconfirmed address, zero feedback, and just joined ebay yesterday.
so what is an unconfirmed addy?
i got paid threw paypal, is that real cash from him? i emailed him, and if i don't get an answer, i'm not going to trust him. i'll send the cash back!
what happens if i don't hear from him and i do send the shock, and for some reason can that paypal cash be fake? i just don't like the idea of seeing my money online like that, and not having it in my hand!

wait to see if your paypal money clears...it takes a few days. It should say payment cleared or whatever when complete.
everyone had a beginning.
easiest way is to withdraw the money to your bank account...when it appears, send parts.
Unconfirmed address means he never linked a bank account to his paypal account. I never did until i started selling. I always just used a debit card.

your famous friend trr nearly screwed me out of my 350x using the same method... sending payment via paypal and then canceling payment.

so i should wait a few days before i ship? i don't see where it says payment cleared. it says completed. it also says the sender of this payment is unregistered.
see thats what i don't want to deal with! send this out then having him cancel payment. how long does a person have to cancel payment? that shouldn't be allowed!
if he doesn't answer one of my emails, he's not getting it! i don't see why i can't just return the cash.

Make sure you have proof of shipment and also a web based tracking number and or do up the shipping label via Paypal. You need to do this to protect yourself incase he does a charge back. I have seen it happen before.

I'd be real careful with that transaction....
Remember that EBAY and PAYPAL are linked and allot of the crap is an automated message! Doesn't EBAY own PP?, thought had awhile back...
Anyhow, I've had plenty of weird things happen with PAYPAL on both ends. Without getting into them too deep; I've gotten a payment and then 3 days later got an email that "something?" went wrong, would be a few more days to clear. And on my end, even when I had plenty of $$ being the direct link for PP, they showed that I paid for it, confirmed, all set etc etc and 3 days later it said my funds were declined and PP would try again in 48hrs or something....
Just be careful and like Howdy said, keep all the receipts and delivery confirmation etc etc...

I just got the shaft on Paypal. Sold some 250R parts last November to Eric Cocks. The payment cleared, he left positive feedback on Ebay. So I spent the money. Last week he he pulled a stunt that basically he has my parts, and money, and I have a negative account balance! woohoo!
Called him up, and he's playing dumb with me.
I faxed the proof of shipment and some more info. Now they have me jumping through hoops, because he's a crook. Anyone live in MI and wanna punch him in the nuts for me?
I have over 150 great transactions with paypal, now it seems to be going to hell. I'm done as soon as this deal is done.

Yeah I think I'd be weary about this deal, It isn't that hard to get a verified paypal acct. It sounds fishy. I'd tell the guy you will not ship to a non-verified address, and you apologize for any inconvenience.
My wife is a fraud investigator for mastercard, and you wouldn't believe the scams out there right now. The latest mess is stolen courtesy checks, people steal them from the mail bags at the airport, and max the cards out within hours.
