Hey, I woke up thinkin... "what was I thinkin?" lol I think I'll be better off waiting it out a few more weeks before I attept to bang around all day on an atv. I've been cleared to finally go back to work tomorrow evening so mabe I should't take any chances. ya know. I dont know if it's old age,, or just plain old common sense. lol.... and I dont want to be a burden or slow you guiys down.

maybe in a few weeks after it warms up and I'm 100% I'll catch up with you guys Try to grab some good pics for us armchair riders.

few more... :beer We put some miles on today. Beaver meadows all the way out and around the lake in Mcadoo,, and back. along with quite a few Uturns. lol. It's been quite some time since I was on most of those trails.

Not sure what happened to the POS truck. It just shut off about 2 miles from the house,, and wouldn't start. Pop came down with the chain and we towed it back to the house.

I'm feelin' it now bud. but it's a good pain. :lol: This 12pack of coors will make short work of any aches or pains...:naughty: :D

Just a note: I'll be off work for a while within the next week or so. So any of you guys wanna head up. I'll show ya around. heck,, I'd even ride during the week if anyone is able.

I really want to go to raffa's,, but it dont cost me anything to ride here locally, just a few bucks to fill the tank. let me know...

Update: I just made arrangements with Raziel661 to ride this coming saturday morning. (he's off this weekend) park and ride right from his house. Only trouble there is we need to get out and explore more trails. I know we can go for miles if we find away around that darn rails to trails hiking path they decided to build.

Plan on around a 9am-10ish start... and ride all day. weatherguy says sunny and in the 40's.

Last saturday turned out to be a great day once the wind calmed down. should be even nicer this ride (fingers crossed)

anyone intrested? Nice slow paced ride with not really much technical stuff. :welcome:

Welp, Bonehead drug me out (kicking and screaming!) riding for the day yesterday. only because he bought the beer! :naughty:

Glad I went! (no pics this time guys :( ) Both of us forgot our cameras... :rolleyes:

We met up with two guys I worked with and about 6 of thier buddies. I stood by the fire most of the time and watched the youngins hillclimb. Turned out to be a great day...

I switched off all day between a 300ex and a warrior and I've got to admit I'm not even half as sore as I was last weekend after riding my 350 X a good while with oldtime. Actually, This was the first time I've been out on an all day ride on a quad in a good number of years... and I'm happy to report I didn't miss much. Glad I decided to hold on to my trike and not sell it. :TrikesOwn Still was fun but cold...

You guys get your act together and c'mon up! :welcome: The riding is good and everytime out we discover new places to go. We even found some more hillclimbs for you brave guys.

I always hurt MORE after riding my quad all day than I do riding my X or my R. One more wheel up front to hit stuff makes my arms and shoulders hurt more. However, there is something to be said for the reliability of a newer, stock, electric start quad. If you really want to be pain free get yourself one of the 4x4's with power steering. I hear they are fantastic for us old folks.

I hear ya john. we rode around like to old guys last weekend. one on the throttle and one on the bottle ya know...

Some of these new quads got electric steering and all kinds of suspension. I like the looks and coversations I get myself into when I'm out on the X tho. Most of these guys I run into... the bike is older than them LOL

In a few weeks after I heel up good I'm gonna look back and think to myself what the hell I was thinkin... :D although the electric start and reverse would be nice....

I wouldn't sacrifice any of my trikes for a quad but if you can swing a quad without losing the wheeler then its worth it. Even a nice 300 or 400EX will do you right for a reasonable price but if you're going to own just one quad I think you're best off with a 4x4 that will get you around even in the deep snow. I took mine out for a good ride last Monday and I was amazed at how easily it climbed over some gnarly rock climbs at reasonable pace. I hit the same places a few years back on my X and I had to hammer like a maniac up them spinning the wheels and fighting to keep the front down all the while. Damn I need to get back on that X. :lol:

You're not too far from me at all. Less than 1/2 of that epic drive to Raffa's house. We got about 10 or 12 inches here today. Maybe in a few weeks we can get together for some riding. I've got a buddy that just finished putting his R back together after it was in pieces for 5 years so I'm sure that he'd love to get out there. I've got to get around to putting the X back to the proper height, its been lowered since I brought it to Raffa's last year.
