just need to know which/where to get a tool to install a 250r crank into case. :wondering
you need to heat the main bearing up to drop the crank in, rule of thumb heat it till the bearing starts to bind when trying to spin it, or your spit bubbles on it, make sure not to over heat it and have the crank seal out,

thanks "my trike sucks" but installing the main crank bearings thats not what i was referring to..... and dont you heat the case -not the bearings?.....anyway, i need to slide the crank into the case without damaging anything. (once crank bearings are already into case). and i know it helps to freeze the bearing to install easier.-thanks

Hmmm, My post is GONEZO....?? I did alter it, maybe it was my bad.....
You need a thin walled piece of pipe (electrical, copper, whatever) that contacts the inner race, yet slips over the crank shaft. Then with a fender washer, you can use the crank nut/bolt and slowly draw the crank into the bearing. You can even have the seal installed ahead of time this way.
It's simply a homemade puller and works perfect. The tubing must be ground flat/square and has to be the right length and you have to keep it true and get the rod at 12:00 while doing this. If you are mechanically inclined enough to split a case, you can see where I'm coming from....
You can also freeze the crank ahead of time, but IDT it is necessary as it pulls in very easily.
If you need a picture, I'll get one for you.
I think MTS understood you, it's just his method. I try and never heat bearings but I won't say that 250 degrees in an oven hurts anything.... but heat until spit bubbles wouldn't work for me  no offense though, what works for some may or may not work for others!!
Either way would work, Iv always Heated the mains and droped the crank/case on, never had any problems, the spit bubbling was just a old rule o thumb, a laser thermo gun works best, i have the temps in my notes somewhere...
