Hey guys,
Just wiped out the PC with the system restore discs, and have a small problem. I had all my other software discs, but can't find anything with WORD on it. ANyone know of a site to download a clean copy of it, or will I need to buy it?

MS Word is generally part of the Office suite. Very seldom do you find it standalone. See if you have any discs for the whole suite.

no dice, maybe it came preloaded on this PC, I don't recall.

Hold on there chief...get your wording right so as not to confuse the little ones...
The version you are offering is either a corporate or developer edition. They can be ACTIVATED infinitely, not REGISTERED. There is a difference. To be honest, some corporate versions do have activation limits too, but that's splitting hairs.

I don't think peddling pirate software on the board is a good idea. Things of that nature should be done in private.

Once again I will repeat i don't think even talking of this subject is a good idea on the board. This very subject gets message boards shutdown by isps/providers.
I'm not passing judgment on your private activities, that's not my place. I really feel it needs to be kept off the open board though. The version your trying to provide may not be technically illegal to distribute but I can bet it wasn't meant for distribution for off of campus use either.
Here's a free alternative to Microsofts productivity suite. http://www.openoffice.org/ It provides FREE alternatives to word, excel, powerpoint and others. AND it's very very good software, better than the micrsoft stuff in my oppinion.
