Alright I get the pull cord together and after a couple pulls it stops working. The little ratchet springs keep coming off. Also the "hook case ring" and "friction spring" are both gone. Is there any way to make this work or do I need to just buy a rebuild kit for the pull cord with new parts all around?
The second problem is the carb, as soon as I do try to pull start it the carb floods and gas pours out. The needle looks to be pretty scratched up but the other parts look decent. I don't have a float level gauge. Is that something I can just measure? The manual says 14mm. If its not there, I just have to get a new float? Will I need to just get a whole rebuild kit for the carb too? And if so, its a 200x carb on the 185s, do I get the kit with the jets for the 185?
Sorry if they are stupid questions, just don't want to buy this stuff if I don't have to, and I'm not really sure what the problem is in the first place...
Thanks for the help!

No I don't have a bigger piston. Ive rode it a couple times and it runs alright, bogs down until I get the RPM's up and stay in the top range of the gears, and it dies if I put it in neutral or try to let it idol. Getting too much fuel because it then pours out after it dies. I was thinking the float was stuck, but it all looks ok and Ive cleaned it a couple times and its been clean when I take it apart. So I guess its back to buying a jet kit made for the 185? Maybe another stupid question but will they wok fine in the 200x carb? Are they different other than the jets?
Ill take some pictures, what are you looking for so I can take the right ones. It seems like those little springs just keep popping out and wont stay, just a pic of that?

i dont think the 185 carb kit will work. you'll have to buy a 200x kit. i would start by pulling the needle and seat, clean it real good, check the tip of the seat, if all is good the reassemble. if not buy a new one. search the forums on how to set float height, i assume it should be here somewhere. i wont try to explain it but it is very simple providing you have something to measure mm's. im not sure but you may run into running problems with the x carb on a stock 185. the jetting is different, but it shouldnt have any thing to do with gas leaking from the carb. is this on the suspension 185 in your sig? i have 1 to and would like to see some pics of yours.

Yeah it's that trike. '82 185s Ive got some plastics for it and a different shock, though I'm not sure what the plastics are off and the seat is an '80 seat so they don't fit perfect but it works for now...it was $30 so good enough for now. Looks like I'll be getting some Carb parts. Here's some pic of it when I got it and as it sits right now.

Sounds like you either have a hole in a float or you needle+seat are toast, i'm pretty sure those are plastic molded floats on them, in which case the float pin needs to be bent to set it correctly, if you fuel needle has any notches, junk it, replace the seat too if its available (some are one piece non replaceable deals)

I'm going to get the kit with a new needle and everything in it. So I'll see how that works, the needle is bad on here now.
