1985 honda atc200s help

hi new to this forum. i have a 1985 honda atc200s. and i need a recoil for it. do you know what year and other models will fit on mine. thanks. also i think it has the wrong shift lever because the recoil is fat and the shift lever doesnt come out far enough to shift just wanted to get other peoples opinion on if i have the wrong shoft lever for it thanks

you could have the wrong shift lever, however the shaft coming out of the motor would be longer because that's usually the thing that comes out around the pull cord case, not the shifter. Are you sure your machine has the right pull cord on it now? Pic's would help too by. I had an 83 200S and a 200M pull cord fit right on good, I'm not sure about the 85's though, you could get a schematic on www.bikebandit.com for your trike and compare it to other pull cords to see if there's others that would work.

I'm pretty sure that any recoil from a Honda 185(s) or 200 will fit. There all basically the same motor, so any recoil from those should fit.

NO, the recoils are different.
If you need a pull starter that will work on your 200s then PM me. I have one.

I got a recoil starter in a box of parts the other day. I don't know what it fits. It may fit your bike. My 185 and 200 have compresion releases on them. This one does not.

The first 3 pictures are 200es, the other 3 are 200m and it will fit the 200s.
