I get a xr200 carb and cam and a supertrapp exhaust for my 200x.You need a small adapter between intake and carb to align the port.Personnaly I would not install the carb on ebay,I think this choke system is for 2 stroke engine.Go for a xr200 carb, they are 26mm.

Idk but I have a 30mm carb off of a xr200. Intake is built for it, cam will be here pipe needs to be built. I hear the carb upgrade really wakes these engines up. Go for it.

stock is 27mm. A 26mm would be like running as restrictor plate. No sense in doing that

uhm. are you sure i was perty sure stock on a 83 200x is a 24mm so runing a 26mm should help a noticeable amount. right? or i could posibly go with a 28mm

Yep you are right man. I was thinking they are 27mm stock but they are 24mm. Sorry about that.

26mm from an xr200 is exaclty the same but a little bit bigger.Exactly I don't know the year, but in the same years as the 200x,the first generation.

I'm with 500X:
I myself have not had good success with that style 2stroke choke setup and believe me, if I don't have 30 hours into jetting that carb, I don't have any! However, in warmer months it may work great but in lower temperatures I simply could not and cannot find a happy medium.
They do sell butterfly choke new Keihins on EBAY in both 28MM and 30MM, thats what I have on my 86/87 200X now.....

the XR carb should bolt to the stock 200X intake boot, but if i remember correctly the XR intake boot is 2mm bigger, so it can be used somewhat as a performance intake. only certain years of the intake boot work though, try searching the boards some.

yep, sounds right to me... as long as the part numbers are the same between the different years, it should be the same part.... so 86-93 should work.
