heys guys i have a 84 tecate iam looking to bebuild it runs right now with brand new top end .but what do you guys think the does and dont are .give me your guys opinions .no matter if you tink i know or dont .i have bought a carb rebuild kit and back brake ass. so far . so what color swingarm .and i want green plastics because that bad ass green love it .so let me know thanks

What you're asking concerning do's and don't is a little unclear.

Do:
-Have working brakes and kill switch 1st priority
-Mix quality oil 32:1 (4-oz. per gallon)into the fuel
-make sure your air filter is in place and clean
-that you aren't running a lean air/fuel mixture
-that you have extra spark plugs and tools to change them
-that you listen for abnormal engine sounds and are prepared to use the kill switch if anything sounds/goes wrong
-don't ride off far without someone or some way to get back home until the machine has proven it's reliability.


Don't:
-cut any corners on safety

Maier plastics are available off E-Bay or denniskirk.com, and the swingarm whatever color you like is cool, but I like metallic silver or white.

thats funny i like that one i guess what iam asking for is alittle help with what to do to make it better and more reliable i have only had hondas in the past but bought this t3 and love it .what i want is it to look really good and go as fast as poss.on a budget i have alittle bit of money to do the build like it doesnt have rear brakes .i bought a rebuild kit for carb will be buying new plastices new tires front and bake .paint or the pc on swingarmrebuild or get new shock for back and seals for the front make it run and look new again it will be my first build and wont be my last iam about to buy a 70 thats needs to be puy back together thanks again

Do a search on "Tecate", read a lot, make a list of what you want from other peoples builds you have seen. Save your money, buy, cross it off the list. Thats how I do it. The search tool is your friend. If you have seen any of the pictures of my 2 tecates and have any questions, Ask away.
