ok im just wondering what you guys have jet wise with a stock carb and what mods you have ? im looking for a starting place i have a 108 and 40 now and i know they are of the wall wrong

your stock was a 110. so your WAY lean!!!!
you shoudl be doing liek a 115 minium with your mods and the 40 is ok.

What are YOUR mods??

The more mods you have the tougher jetting can be. At least a 4 stroke can tolerate the testing. A 2 stroke can launch real quick if it's too lean.

There are so many variables.... Merely running the air box with or without the cover can change everything by 25%.

It stinks, it's hard, I've dealt with it ALLOT! Start fat, start big and start by reading DAMMITS! sticky on Jetting.

READ THAT PLUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know i was way lean so im less then stock ? well thts wht it had when i got it and i noticed the pipe got a lil cherry red right at the motor but hopfully i havent hurt the motor i just realised this so i proly need to get like 110 -130 or so jets and maybe a couple around the 40 it seems to have ok low end and thts wht the 40 should be right ?

Stock main is 110 for 1983 and 108 after 1983. Anyway, what mods?

ok well i was gona tryn just get a guessing start form u guys but heres my mods i have.
.50mm over bore
a very open pipe posibly some kind of cobra
uni filter
kenny harmon cam for low end but im gona probaly replace with the norris cam i have thts a high rever and is mor on the topend cas it will pull the 18 inch tires beter then it did with the 22in razers
its got powroll valve springs with titanium retainers
thats it that i know of so wht do u guys suggest

the lil jet only controls like 1/4 throttle right? or no? and the main controlls 1/2 -wot? or am i all wrong

Personally, i'd step up a size carb, then start jetting. Throw a 118 main in it and do a plug chop.

well i would like to do that yes but money says no other things it needs that are a lil more important to me than top notch race performance like a chain sprokets and rear bearings

i looked at the jets in my stock x the guy i bought it from said honda jetted it for him in the 80s for a bassani pipe and it still has the front half of the bassani and a harley davidson silencer ya idk but its actuly nice and quiet but still not extremly restrictive the jets in it were 115 and 40 i decided to toss the stock 108 in it looks like it actualy needs the 115 cas the pipe actly got a lil glow 2 it with the 108 so i put the 115 back in and am proly gona pick up a 115-120 for the modded motor tomaro cas i am guessing thts wht its gona need to be right.
