^ WE cannot help you, your somewhat own your own.....

Did you read the sticky on JETTING??

Thats where jour gonna learn the most.

I'll share this with you. I have an 86 200X built more than yours, I am STILL messing with the jetting months later. It isn't bad, but not spot on either....

If that were mine, I quit dicken around with jets 1 or 2 sizes different. Buy 4 jets and drill them out with a 1-60 index set a few thousandths at a time and see how it reacts.

If it's so bad that you can't even perform a plug chop then your WAY away from where it needs to be.

I have spent 300$ in jets to date. It's not easy to jet a motor with numerous mods but stop acting like a puss and try something else.

And read DAMMITS THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNDERSTAND WHAT DOES WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT - Get the thing running and warm. Put in a NEW plug. Get it at the spot where it cough, farts, burps and dies and try to keep it running in that crappy area. Now pull the plug and see what the porcelain and electrode look like.

Is it black - I doubt it.... Is it white, light or no color change? then your still lean. I believe I'm up to a 168 main jet but it's ported quite a bit.

If you don't even know WHAT jet does what (which is obvious) you will never ever get it right. It's time to read up a bit, buckle down and understan how a carburetor works before you can actual begin to jet something. MAKE SENSE??

And order some jets while your reading :D

LOL!!!! Your starting to upset DC :D

You sure your timing ain't off? I've had a problem similiar to yours awhile back. turned out the key was sheared inside the flywheel.

But yeah... jetting is a PITA for sure...

i read that thread i read one on airfoolers.com also i went to a shop picked up a supovly 120 jet should be ritcher than my 108 jet right well evidintly with the jets he sold me wrong. what i did first was 120 with needle on middle clip. sputered past bout 1/2 so i moved it lower to lean it out some right ? well i moved 1 spot leaner and rode it didnt sputer actuly ran just a lil beter than when i had the 108. looked down after maybe 2 mins of ridin threw a field and my cylinder around the pipe and my whole pipe was chery red. like around the exhaust port on the cyliunder was glowing red. killed the bike tht second pushed i back up to the house richend the neddle a lil and kicked it and i barly got iny compresion now so im guessing i screwed my topend becuse of the cheap jets i picked up at the only shop around here only jets he would sell me

so jetings my last problem cas i have to get a motor that will start before i can jet it i do have a stock bore cylinder tht im gona use with a stock piston just to make it that much simpler so maybe my jeting wont be far off from stock

Make sure you are buying the correct jets. Not all jet numbers are the same. I know that DynoJet for example will be quite a bit different than Keihin jet numbers.

You can only make one change at a time or you'll get lost!

It's NOT fun, every time the friggen gas tank has to come off, you lose fuel.... BELIEVE ME, I KNOW!!!!!

I bought 4 140 size jets. The 140 was too small. So, I measured it and then I found a drill bit a couple thousandths larger. I did this until I got it decent, actually TOO rich. So, I marked that jet and grabbed another 140 and just went 2 thousandths lower. This got my WOT excellent and screaming fast!!

My stumbling block was starting in 10 degrees and idling. Also from o-1/2 throttle, but wide open was the cats arse....

do u think my motor over heating like that could have damaged it that quickly ? i have a set of rings i can put in it today or could it have damaged my piston/ cylinder i mean i killed the motor as soon as i seen it start turning red

im just gona start at sqaure 1. heres what my jeting was when i got it 108 main and 40 pilot neddle clip set on bottom notch. we just had alot of cold whether the bike had to be full choked kick once it started fine about a miniute later u could take the choke all the way off n it would idel fine it had ok power up to about 1/2 throttle. then it just really had almost nothing like u could fether the throttle from half to wot and not notice alot of difrence. so with a stock 108 main its defintly lean right?

Now that is a HUGE problem! The jets should be the same length - it's the opening of the jet that determines the size.

Also, if you read those links I sent you, other factors can make jetting a true nitemare - leaky gaskets, dirty filter, intake etc etc.

Good luck guy. Hope you get it all worked out. Just be careful and not get too lean and seize your engine.

yes i have changed the orings on the boot between the cylinder and carb with new ones so that should be sealed up good. and i know the jets are detirmend by the inside but these jets are way difrent i have a friend whos gona let me borrow a bunch of jets to use for jeting and then give them all but the one back so i dont have to blow alott of cash on extra jets

it sounds like you have a 200e/s/.... carb or jet in it if its short and round. Should be a taller hex head main if i remember correct. I'd just step up the main. Having to use the choke in extreme cold isn't a problem.
