Squeeling has nothing to do with slipping..... Who knows what you have going on in there?

Warm up the bike, roll down to about 10MPH in 1st gear, pull in the clutch and upshift to 3rd or 4th, get your revs up and dump the clutch.

Does it rev high, slowly descending until it finally grabs (slipping clutch) or does it bog right down and take awhile to get up to speed? (good clutch)

Check your oil sounds like friction to me! or loose clutch basket maybe ,all just speculation!

If anything is wrong with the steel or friction plates, it will slip.

Odd noises could be a clutch spring bolt that backed out, or a clutch that wasn't assembled correctly. The throwout bearing could be bad too, does the noise change if your idling and pull the clutch in and out during different RPM's??

For that matter, if any of stuff under the right case has been messed with, it could be anything....

my buddys 350x always made this noise when pulling out. it's nothing to get to worried about, his is still running after 10 years.

Sounds like the throw-out bearing to me. Pull the right side cover off and see whats up.
