Saw this on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310108326154&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=

Does this come with everything I need to install it on my 82 185s? Will I need new gaskets? Or anything? Kinda new at this trike thing.

Got the same exhaust from the same seller for my 1983 ATC 185. the silencer part of the exhaust, where it bolts to the frame does not fit. it doesn't bolt up right next to the stock exhaust hole, i had to tinker around with it and got it on fine. its a good deal though and makes the 185 sound awesome.

o and you have to put a bigger jet in, mine was a 98 stock and i put a 100 in and it runs perfect.

good luck:beer

What did you end up doing to mount it? Some pictures would be awesome.

thats a good deal. got a "dg" for my 81 185s -fit no problem. note- there is a copper seal that goes between the exhaust port opening & the header. its is often overlooked. probably not necessary, but should consider it.it is not included with any exhaust.

I know I should just buy it. lol But i dont want it to not mount up correctly.

danpalms15 If you could tell me how you mounted it, that would help alot.

I'd like to see some pictures too. The exhaust pipe on my 200 leaks and there is no shroud. I had to put screen around it so my grandkids would not burn their legs on it when I gave them rides.

all headers tend to stick out towards your legs alot more than stock exhast. you could always use header wrap.. but still. sorry no pics :( but i need a usb cable to tranfer pictures.

I'm still up in arms weather I want to put an exhaust on this trike. It's a great deal on the exhaust but if it doesn't mount up correctley, I don't really want to fight it.

u can get it to fit. may have to wobble out a hole or 2 on the exhaust, but it will fit.

You will more than likely have to jet the carb as well because it will out flow the stock exhaust so although this is not a big deal for me it might be for you

easy. you can get them from most online venders.

www.bikebandit.com
www.rockymountainatv.com
etc...

you shoudl probelby go to the 100 jet size. if you contact them directly they can help you with what you need easier.

while your at it, may as well go on ebay and buy a carb rebuild kit. cause you have to remove the bowl to repalce the jet, so may as well rebuild the carb while you got it appart. if your not sure, someone or even myself can help you. I'll rebuild it for free. you jsut pay sipping both ways and the parts cost is all. i'll do the labor for free if you cannot find someone here to help.

Ok thanks

I don't think that it has the stock carb on it, the guy I got it from got it without a carb. He put a carb on it. The carb that's on it likes to foul plugs every few hours. Other then that it always starts first pull and runs awesome.

Any other tips for installing this exhaust?

Hey got the picture, shows you exactly how i did it, and yes you have to rejet, its very easy to do, just take off the carb, and the carb bowl, you will see the main jet the needle goes down, unscrew it and thats what you have to replace, urs is prolly a stock 98 to, i would just get some sizes, maybe a 100 102 and a 104, i got those sizes and the 100 worked perfect for me, doens't bog down, flood or anything. the spark plug color is the right color to thats how i know its running right, a tanish brown, to a grey.

Thanks! I understand what you ment now.

Did you need anything else when you installed it.

Only thing else I needed was the exhaust gasket, you can get it at www.bikebandit.com or even ebay or denniskirk. umm when i slid the silencer into the header pipe i put a exhaust silicone orange sealent in there so it was sealed good, worked out great, i was also tihnking, i could have just trimmed the header pipe down a little bit, a couple inches, so then the silencer would have bolted right to the frame, who knows maybe if i feel like screwin around with it i will  but i don't want to mess it up:wondering

hope i helped:beer
