redoin the 200x

i found a local guy that does sand blasting powdercoating etc. what im wondering is what you guys usaly spend geting a frame and swingarm blasted and powdercoated? im considering completely redoin my 83 200x.

i have heard they pay like $200+ to get it done.

no matter what you do, one trick I liek to do before i take any frame to get treated or paint it is to run a tap through all boltholes to ensure threads are perfect and no rust is in there.

I'm thinking about doing this as well. Would it be $200 for blasting and painting/powdercoating? In fact, call me crazy.. but I would love to have a Kawasaki green 200x.

its gona be a lil wile before ill start this im debating bying a pc gun and doin some lil stuff myself how r the guns harbor freight sales? im gona save some money soo i can pic up some things i want like a set of white plastic. a difrent exhaust and some other random parts

^ They may work fine.... But Eastwood has a gun on sale often for about 75$ and it's a quality gun and what myself and a few members have been using for awhile.....

Harbor freight stuff is about 50/50 sometimes the product itself can vary from package to package. And, I'm certain all ther stuff has lead paint :lol:

Grab a free oven on Craigslist, some acetone and pick up a plug kit with some tape and your COATING!!!!!!!!!!

ok well its gona be a wile n ill still have to get the frame done i have gas oven im trying to get rid of and get and electric one


edit: also my neibor has a sandblaster and cabnet i can use for everything besides the frame also
