View Full Version : 200x Cam in 200m Advise Wanted

I have been thinking about puting a 200x cam in my 200m. Does the 200x cam give more top end power while removing low end power? I use my 200m for work sometimes so I would want at least the same or better low end torque. Is there even a difference between the two cams? Are there any other model 200 Hondas that will give me more power? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Get a Xr cam or aftermarket.

I would go after market, but I don't want to spend that much money, and I don't want to aggresive of a cam, I not going to be racing, I just want a bit more performance. So is a Xr cam somewhere in between my stock cam and an aftermarket one?

Yes the xr cam is a bigger cam than the 200x has ..... actually I just compared my 185s cam with a 200x cam and they were the same so don't expect any differance if you put a 200x cam in your m

there is a slight, and i mean slight difference in lift between the 2....but theres about as much between the 200x and xr cam.

i would go aftermarket or forget it.

I would go with an aftermarket cam, but I don't want to spend that much money. I was planning on finding a used cam, but if I couldn't I would fordget the whole thing. What is the difference between a 200m and 200xr cam, more valve lift, or more valve overlap? I don't want something to agressive, I just want a bit more perfomance.

You can get a no name aftermarket cam on ebay for like $45

The one i looked at was more aggressive than the xr by far.

i dont remember what i searched to find it, but i think it was seller bikerchick selling them
