I know alot of guys here on the boards are going through some rough times. SO,, I'm making this thread so you other guys can vent as well... hopefully some of you guys have it worse than me.. at least it'll make me feel better. :lol:

Well, I've ran into quite a few major problems the last few days.. first, the house I was going to move into is uninhabitalbe because the carpet cleaning guy discoved loads of mold in the walls and under the carpets in the floorbards... then to top it off,, I blew my motor up in my car.. it just rolled over to 130k miles.. and I've only had it less than 7 months. :rolleyes: ....and yes I've had the oil changed religiously since I've owned it. :( It's an o2' chevy cavileer.. which I've heard from tons of people they're supposed to be pretty reliable cars.

being laid off isnt helping matters much...(I have nothing to do all day!) I've also had at least one call for the past 4 weeks from the principle at school, seems my kid doesnt know how to act like a normal human being. :(:lock:

On a side note my trike is about the only thing that runs perfectly and gives me no problems at all.:)

firehart, I feel for you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I can top Chris's rant ( lol ), how ever I'm not posting all details of my private life out here to the public. How ever here are some things:
The school ( 11 year old kid caused trouble ),
the kids ( getting bad attitudes ),
the court ( 16 year old caused problems now have classes for 15 weeks ), the wife ( very bad here, ),
the shop ( sold out my 1/2 last year including all 3 wheelers I owned. now I only help Pickle just to get out of this house ),
the job ( have been forced to take 2 pay cuts and also lost most benefits in just 2 months and then they shut down for this week ),
my health ( need surgery but can't afford it ),
my truck ( had to replace the whole rearend, and body falling apart, motor suddenly burning oil ),
Car ( has 262,000 miles on it and I doubt it makes 270,000 before something bad happens )
Trike toys / mags ( gone, no longer have them in my possesion )
house is falling apart ( no money for repairs ),
and I have a bunch of other stuff happening.

Spent 1 hour on the phone ( on hold ) this morning just to get my unemployment started.
Gotta go get a test done later today, the test is free, but the drive is 45 minutes to get there ( gas just spiked $.20 a gallon over night ).


The good side is My 11 year old still loves me and that is what matters.

I think the economy is really just pounding the hell out of people.....

I was told I'd be back in "about 3 weeks" and that was 11 weeks ago.

Had to pay Union dues last night.

Had to pay a HUGE amount to retain health insurance, otherwise I'd have ANOTHER thing to be pissed about and couldn't ride.

I can't find a window for my truck anywhere.

The weather has STUNK the whole time I've been home and it's STILL raining.

My job pays great but I'm sick of it, it's like "groundhog day" every day BORING! (Guess I should be happy to get it back.

I'm bored to death being unemployed.

I haven't filed my taxes yet.

And, my cat threw up on my sheets I cleaned yesterday :rolleyes:

All and all, with the amount I'm getting from unemployement it's not that bad; it's just boring.....

But this time it was the school's security guard. just calling to inform me that one of the 9th graders offered to sell my son some pills and some other drugs. :rolleyes: :eek: Needless to say for once he did the right thing and went to security... and that kid wont be selling any drugs in that school anytime soon. :mad:

OH,, and I even found a newer motor for my car (only 17k miles).... and It's only gonna cost me $750 total. So things are looking up...

My rant is my effin job, I work full time at a nursing home, usually would be 'nuff said, haha.... I was a cook/supervisor [two jobs combined into one] but my status was also mixed with part time waitress as well. whenever I had a cook shift I made almost $14/hr. But then again whenever I was waitstaff it was 9.48... the paychecks were pretty good, job was VERY frustrating but I dealt with it because I liked what I was doing. So I walk into work on my FOUR-YEAR anniversary date, and they call me in the office to tell me that I was getting down sized to full-time wait staff to save the company money or whatever. So now i have almost 5 dollar less an hour every day....

Way to go for longevity... Grrr.

Here's another gripe for ya,,, So here I am driving my work truck a few weeks back and all of a sudden, the check engine light comes on, the water in fuel light comes on and it starts skipping like crazy!, instead of my boss telling me to come back to the shop, which was close to an hour and a half away mind you, he tells me to keep doing my route:crazy: Knowing how long my route is, I'm thinking to myself, I have to drive this thing another 300 plus miles?:eek: skipping like this???, So I made it back to the shop that we deal with, and the truck was there over 2 weeks. They couldn't figure it out worth of trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. They ended up towing it to a Freightliner dealership, and it was there about a week... I picked it up friday and it ran good on the way back to the shop... I started my day on monday, drove for about 40 minutes, and wouldn't you know it,, the check engine light came back on and it skipped like crazy again!!!! WTF!......2006 Freightliner Business Class M2.. Accert C-7 Cat engine.. We've had nothing but problems with this trucks electrical system since we've had it:mad: Total cost between the 2 shops was over $4,000 and It's still not rite!!!!!!!

I gave him a three step program to follow. reread the original ad. reread the portion where I listed the exact contents of the package. repeat step a & b until it sinks in that he misinterpreted.

I bet you have the wrong software loaded with the injectors your running. C-7's have had tons of software and injector upgrades. Your techs need to do tons of reading, any good shop forman would have had that figured out already. I ran into several Blue Bird school buses with this problem.

From what I understand, and what I failed to mention,,, the first shop actually had a CAT tech go to their shop and try to figure it out... It was getting all kinds of different codes coming up.. In the end, they changed #5 injector, for what reason, I don't know.. After the second shop looked at it, there was an injector wire that was either cracked or loose, which was causing the skip...But that was after they changed the ECM.. I have no idea on the software, but luckily it's at a FL dealership now... Here are some other wiring issues I've had, 3 ECM's, 2 or 3 AMU's, (I think that's waht he called it) in the braking system, controlls the brake lights.. and 3 heater fan motors...DOM... 9-2005.... 260k on the odometer.. Alot of it happened while under warranty

We run the same kind at my work. If yours is the one with the fuse panel under the drivers side have someone check to see if your fuses are corroded off. We ran into a similar problem this pasted winter with one of our rigs. Turned out to be the fuse block was not sealed properly and rotted the fuses off. Engine light would come on and shut the truck down going 60 mph down the road. Talk about crap your pants when you got 15 ton behind ya on icy roads.

armadillo and coon broke spoiler in front, which went under tire, which then ripped spoiler and cold air filter clean off, which allowed water into intake... this car has taken down deer, dogs, fences, ever a drunk driver in an impala, only to be killed by some water.... and a coon

now I need a car... that gets good mileage, and the intake is staying stock!

I can't believe it!!! A fellow worker called me up to tell me that he had picked up my work truck from the FL dealership. He said that it was running really good finally. They had to change the whole injector harness, so every injector has new ends or plugs going to it. I get back to my shop and I look at it, and there was a puddle of oil underneath the front. I was like you gotta be kidding me! I go inspect it and wouldn't you know it, they didn't put the valve cover gasket on correct!!! The front cross member under the harmonic ballancer was soaked in oil, and the gasket was either put on upside down, or totally backwards. On the drivers side, there was actually part of the gasket that wasn't even under the cover...GOD, I WISH WE LEASED OUR TRUCKS!!!!

My husband and I went to NH on the Harley last friday and somewhere in troy (actually multiple places between NH and back) we got cut off.....

Why can't people take the extra three seconds to look where the hell they are going??? GRRRR!!!! This particular lady had an "Obama- It's time for a change" bumper sticker on her car. I asked dave, "Do you think obama will buy her a pair of glasses so she will be able to see when there in an F'n motorcycle going by??" :mad: I get so pissed when we'll almost get bowled over becuase of some retard not able to wait until the cars pass, or whatever his excuse will be when we both get into an accident....

My 2006 Dodge caravan was crap. Had all kinds of lights coming on engine, air bag...... It only had 56,000 miles on it. I am done with Dodge junk. I got such a good deal on this one I had to give it another try. Fing piece of junk. So I traded it in for a new 2007 Ford Edge. Fing sweet is all I have to say!!!!!!!

This really PISSED ME OFF!

When DEEPA complained about the salt on his trike, I thought it wasn't a big deal and he was concerned because it was such a nice trike.

Then, I went up to NH for a ride several weeks back. Of course it was 20 degrees and we didn't stop to pressure wash the trikes and my hose at home was frozen as was the pressure washer valve body.

So, it took me until 2 weeks ago to wash my 350X. And let me tell ya THAT MOTHER FKN SALT RUINED EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every single piece I had with INTACT OEM zinc coating was DESTROYED!! Any stock paint that is notoriously thin was DESTROYED!! My 350X that was in very nice shape aside from proper decals and other BS IDC about, were all ruined; IN ONE FRIGGEN TRIP BACK ON THE HIGHWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, it's been 2 weeks now and I sandblasted and coated maybe 70% of the OEM stuff that got ruined. I coated a ton of brackets, rear hubs, front hubs, header, midpipe, kicker, footpegs, throttle and added a SS front rotor. I still have a bunch of collars and things like the seat latch that are tight but ruined in appearance..... I even have to change my rear axle and the axle locking nut as they too got there finish DESTROYED by road salt. Fortunately all the SS hardware held up very well even as the salt was there for 6 weeks or so............

So yes, this was and is MY RANT and about the only good thing is that I got to freshen up the 350X and it's fresher than it was before this winter, but I will NEVER EVER go without cleaning off road salt immediately and or covering it when it has to hit the highway.

Next time I'll know what DEEPA means when he complains about salt on his trike :lol: :welcome:

Hey DC are you sure it was salt and not some of that new liquid crap their throwing down. My brother drives a truck for a living and he said whatever they used this year eats up aluminum and causes rust on stuff way worse than salt did.

Ya gotta get over stuff like that Steve O. this machines are made to get filthy. If a little bit of rust here or there is going to bother you ... you need a diffrent hobby my freind.

Can you imagine was all this crappy coal dust we ride in down here does to our paint, bearings, and bikes in general? If you don stop at the carwash on the way home after a ride consider it there permently. shoot. sometimes it takes me 2 or 3 showers to get all that crap off of me. thats no lie.

but I do feel your pain. you work so damn hard to make something nice.. and its totalled in only a few short days.

I am the biggest fan of beating the SNOT out of my toys and refreshing them later. I've never cared about "looks" but I do want something a simple as a discontinued washer and nut to retain there finish. But zinc is zinc and it's hard to find stuff with a good coat of it on there.......... With some parts PC isn't an option. Zinc/chromate finish is thin but protects and PC builds up sizes very quickly........

I just could not believe that the salt was like when your home gets flooded. Everything that was next to new got destroyed in one simple ride home.

Rant of the day, there is a glass crew in my lobby replacing a pane coated in mylar with basic run of the mill plexiglass because the base seal is leaking. They aren't scraping off the old sealent...and they are replacing it with an inferior product...does anyone listen to me when i say anything...of course not.

I'm just a front desk clerk, how could I possibly know more than the maintenance guy about this. I used to construct speaker boxes out of both materials...and one material is A LOT stronger outright, and can flex A LOT more than the other under extreme stress. But Cade...why does that matter?

I just shake my head...we live in hurricane country; when gustav hit, every plexiglass window in the place was blown out...so they install more.
