200es question

I am working on my new free 84 200es. I am not getting spark. The key switch is kind of rigged. It has a chevy key in it. I do not know if it is working or not. If I jump the wires that plug into the key, will it work?

You need to unplug the switch all together. If you want power to run the electric start then you need to connect the red and red / yellow together. This should give you power.

You want to be sure the Black and green wires aren't connected. These 2 wires are used to Kill the machine once running.

What if I am jumping the starter direct? Do I need to connect any switch wires to make it fire?
