85 or 86 Tri-z Engine ?

Are there numbers on the casing of the 86 motor that will tell if it is an 85 or 86 with it off the frame?
Will the carb from an 85 work on an 86 ok. Beside the 6 gear are there other differences?

the carbs have diffrent internal parts,,,jets,slide needle,ect...

the clutches yes.
the trannys yes.. but not interchange parts with trannys
the 86 cases have a extra threded hole on the bottom for a chain guard
