What do you think about putting a cam in my Big Red?
I have checked the specs on hardwelding a cam at webcams and magacycle.
stock lift .319 dur 226*
webcam lift @ .050 .356 dur 238*
mega lift (@.040) .395 dur .239* (requires springs)
These are for the 250SX, but I am assuming they are the same engine as the BR.
I have a used engine that I can get a cam from for core, so I will not be "wrecking" my good engine.
What performance gains would I see, if any?
I realize this thing is a utility trike, but I do a lot of trail riding and mudding with it. I'd like to get a little more grunt out of it, not looking for top speed.
I am also thinking about sending the jug off my used engine in and having it bored 1mm over and getting an oversize piston, as well as rejetting my carb.
