Anything can be fixed, that does look horrible though.....
Can't you find a used frame? Shouldn't be expensive or too bad to ship either.
To weld that correctly and make it safe, it's gonna be a few bucks unless you've got someone that hooks ya up.

If you spent a while cleaning those welds off, you could probably repair it. Id try and put a piece of pipe or find some way to brace the frame.

Do you have someone who can fix it properly? for a reasonable cost? Something to think about anyhow.....
I imagine a 125M frame is completely different? I have one you can have for free (pay shipping) if it would work for you.....

There is no way I would even begin to try and fix that busted up frame. There are just too many used frames to even worry about such things. I would try and go with an aftermarket frame. I've had several aftermarket frames and sold a few for what I bought them for. There was an aftermarket 110 frame on ebay the other day. You might want to look into that.

No, I honestly have very limited knowledge on all these E,S and M machines and don't own or ride them. Great machines though :D
I'm more into the sport/race trikes and the ATC70.
Vealmonkey has ALLOT of experience and take his advice as etched in stone......
I just didn't know if the 125M would be any help. I got one for short $$ just to part out and it's been under a tarp for a bit.

I never tried switching any parts to a 125m frame. Heck if you have a 110 roller, I know you can bolt a us90 engine in it, even the later model 85 frames with the adjustable rear axle. You just have to keep in mind about all the parts you need with a certain year frame. I've had 85 fenders on a 1980 frame. So alot of the 90/110 stuff will swap around, but there are certain parts that work on certain years and just won't mix and match. Learned some of this the hard way. Certain year brake parts are very specific. You can switch wiring harnesses but you have to keep a cdi harness with a cdi trike and a points harness with a points trike. I've only worked on one 125m, and it was kind of a pain, but I never swapped any parts out. It really depends on your budget what you want to do. A stock frame will work fine, but they have their limitations. Now most stock frames are at least 23 years old and they are stamped steel. You have to be very careful. And some people have jammed every kind of american nut and bolt into them at one time or another. Make sure you have a good tap and die set and lots of wd40 or pb blaster or whatever you use for a thread lube. And take your time. And above all, do some research and have a factory manual or a factory pdf from the web. I'm not the 90/110 guru by far, it just seems that no one on here is as dumb as me to keep fooling with this stuff. Shop around till you can find a frame that is pretty close to the same year what you have and that will help alot. A wiring harness from a trike with the light switch on the headllight is not a direct bolt up for a headlight switch on the handlebars. 82 and earlier brake parts, won't work with the 83 and later brake setups. Certain year frames have the mount for the coil on the inside of the frame. Tank mounts are slight different on certain years. They just aren't all easily swapped out. And becareful, a deal on a frame might not be a deal if it doesn't work on your trike. Your about to learn alot about trikes. Do a little research and have fun. If you don't have a decent set of metric wrenches, you might shy away from doing this. You will be stripping nuts and bolts out left and right if you just have a couple adjustable wrenches. Just buckle down and have fun.

I would cut that spot out of the frame and weld in a new piece... Granted I am a street rod fabricator, and cut and weld pert near everything...

I know thats right! I was thinking about cutting another frame and putting it in that spot. The other frame is the wrong 110 frame none of the clips or mounts are right.

Which one of your frames is messed up - the one on the left or the one on the right with the coil on it?
I have an 84 110 frame that looks like it's in pretty good shape. It's a CDI year and the axle housing moves to adjust the chain. Let me know if it will work for you. We can work something out - I have a 200s project in work.

grind all that chit off first.dont grind into the frame, just the weld itself.then cut out a patch from something similar in thickness, and similar steel.and weld on the patch.it is do-able.

Thats exactly what i would do. Even if you had to take it to someone it shouldnt cost ya that much...

its an easy fix. 1st you got to grind all the poop off, cut out any rot 2nd cut out some plates to cap the sides then take a pipe that is i bit bigger than the tube , cut that in half to cap the tube and weld it up be sure to make your plates bigger than the area your covering . well thats my 2 cents hope it helps ...:beer
