honda 200S used alittle oil

hey guys I have a 84' 200S that uses some oil. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to stop it besides rebuilding it. Would a engine oil stop leak for cars help or is it not worth messin with. It uses roughly 2-3 oz's per hour riding. I just check it every time I ride it and make sure its full and I have no problems.
