I am tring to replace the rear axle bearings on my Z but the dang carrier is stuck on the axle and won't budge. Luckily unlike many other Z owners my sproket hub slid right off. I really woujld love to get this off without ruining any of the parts so this quick repair job doesn't cost me too much. I've been soaking it with PB blaster in the upright position hoping it will work its way down in there but so far no luck. Being a new Z owner I think I'm going to be on this forum alot. Swiss

We got it with a old school bearing press. The brake side bearing was stuck to the axle. Nothing the press couldn't handle though.

this is an old problem.if you have a 5 gal. bucket fill it with used motor oil ,tranny fluid and let it soak in a week or so it will fall off when you drop it on a 2 by 4.seen it done.a carrier that couldnt be heated off beat off, just fell off after this technic:idea:
