What tank is this for?

It is a Clarke tank. It came with the 250sx I bought, but doesn't fit at all. The guy I bought it from thought the trike was a 200x, so if he bought the tank then it might be for a 200x.

I will repeat it one more time. It is a 83-84 250r Clarke desert Tank. they are plastic like every single Clarke tank ever made.

they bfit most of the 200 cause I have one on my 1980 atc 200 and it fits fine love it for trail rides holds tons of fuel no it doesn't fit a 200x I tried cause mine is rusted out

If you look at the third pic you can see a notch out for the pipe. So it is for a 2 stroke left hand side pipe. it could be the 81-82 but where it is positioned i will say 83-84

I think its 83-84 but I have that exact same tank on my bouncy ass hard tail and it fits great and yes I am drinkin the reason I know it is from an R is I took it off of a roller that was so rusted out I cried and I just wanted to get my hard tail runnin I don't know what else it fits but it fits a 1980 atc 200:beer

no you don't ...... you may verry well have a clarke tank on your 200x but it dosen't look like this one unless it is attached with duct tapetrailpro
Look at the way the tank mounts in the back by the seat a 200x has a C that wraps around the frame with 2 mount bolts .... This tank mounts in the middle Air cooled R....

I don't believe that clarke made a tank that you could bolt scoops too. They did make a 200x tank that looks like the stock model and a extra capacity.

I have both 83-84 250r's and a 86 200x and the metal stock tanks look identical, I would not be surprised if it fits both. If you want to sell it let me know.

It doesn't fit the '85 250sx I have and it also doesn't seem to fit proprely on a '84 200M, just for reference. It's not much use to me so if I can sell it to then get a 250sx tank then I will.

Desert tanks do not have scoops. they use the area for extra fuel capacity. this tank was designed for the 83-84 250r. It could fit other models, alot of tanks interchange. But that isnt what it is designed for. The clarke 200x desert tank was similiar with out the cutout for the pipe. It could bolt on a 200x but in my opinion it would look goofy.

i have 2 of these along with 200x tanks. There is no diffrence other than the mount and the cutout for the pipe................... I am no longer going to respond. you remind me of Jamesr9r, i have told you several times exactly what it is. Bye!!!!!!!!
