modified threewheelers

anyone came up with the idea of puting a snomobile engine in a three wheeler chasis i might sound insane but i think it would make a good drag bike.

my original ideas were either to make a 500cc twin cylinder three wheeler
or a yamaha yfz 450 in a threewheeler chasis.
if i do any of these insane ideas it will be years later from now because im trying to save up for it.

right now im looking at restoring 2 1986 200x s ones going to look brand new and the frame on the other one is damaged so im just going to make it a rider i still need a engine for one because it blew up.

anyone have any idea of how much money ill need before i start on one of the projects above. is it worth it. or am i just wasting money. do you think you can make a snomolbile three wheeler.

if i was to do the yamaha yfz 450 three wheeler i wonder what frame i would use or i could modify the quad frame to hove forks but i doubt that would work it just wouldnt look right.

these ideas require a lot of thinking.

If you look around instead of just post instead of just posting nonstop you will notice that has all been done it is easier to change a bike over but is very expensive you could make a 500 by buying a frame from billy and it would be perfect for dunes cr500 motor in a trike frame get your 200x runnin good first and get good on that or you will seriously hurt yourself

i spent days looking before i started posting.
i also race a 1985 250r thats bored out like crazy the fenders had to be cut on it because other riders lost control of the bike and crashed the other day i drag raced it and it got me by suprize and left me on my ass but most the time i kill quads with it.

They made kits and frames that would use street bike engines at one time, like the cb750. I have an aftermarket frame that runs an rd350 engine. The frame I have could also have been had with engine mounts that would take a h2 750 kawi 2 stroke triple. I've been seriously thinking of installing one of those engines. There are alot of different trikes around that were made years ago. And if you check my signature, I have a Tiger 500 single cylinder. There are people that would gladly make you a custom frame to take your choice of engine if you want to pay the money.

why? 450 would plain, 500cc two stroke of any kind is gonna blow your socks off.
Stock for stock, crf450 40-50hp, cr500 50-60hp...

You sound like a dreamer to me. Do everyone here a favor. Stop with the stupid ads and if you're going to build a trike, go grab your wrenches. This isn't the "Guess what I wanna build" forums. Nobody cares what you are thinking of doing. Once you actually build something put up some pictures. I seriously doubt you're capable of pulling off a snowmobile powered trike because you didn't even know that powersportspro or whatever doen't magically find obsolete parts. If it's going to take you years to build some frankenstein trike, just save up $500 and go buy a 200s or something. Then at least you'll be riding until you get bored of the hobby.

Whats next I wonder. A 200m powered mxz???:lol: I remeber seein E.T for the

first time its rediclous. I would love to have a sled powered bike but unless your

very dedicated not to mention a very good fabricator . I find Sleds are better as

Not that the original poster will ever do anything like this, but NOS30x has a 750 Ninja with a fattie up front and a trike rear end. That baby is an E-Ticket ride for sure. Check the video of him at Pismo (search fearthegoat) racing a bunch of quads and smoking them so bad it looks like they aren't even racing. I would hate to imagine what it could do with more than first gear (tranny jammed) LOL LOL
