Suzuki RV90 No Spark

Picked up an 72 RV90 old owner said it ran. Got it home, no spark. New plug and still no spark. Should the lights dim when kicked over?

I have a service manual orderd as well as, points, condenser and a new coil.

Anyone know what I should check next?

Make sure the battery is in a good full state of charge, the RV90's have a screwy set up, as far as lighting go's, its pretty much half AC half DC, With no regulator-the battery acts as it, Check for bad grounds,
