do these filters eliminate the stock cage ( I need a filter and don't have the stock cage) If not I will bite the bullet and get a k&n

Yes, it just hose clamps in place over the intake ring on the side of the airbox.

I got my uni filter and thought i would take a pic of the "business end" in case any one else wonders
and I did get the uni oil as well and got her all ready to go!!!
