Picked up a 84 200x. Starts and runs great. The tool kit actually had some tools wrapped up in some old hanker chif. I have them soaking in a little mmo to remove some of the rust. Most of them have "HM" on them also one has a "S" which looks like a suzuki wrench. Anyway the head light deal is gone now and I put the 250r light guard and head light housing on. Looks dencent. Needs plastics but thats it so far. I am hoping to score a set of low profile plastics but we'll see how it goes. Engine starts on 1st kick dam near every time. Kicker says ricky something on it. No smoke and lots of power. One day when the motor dies I have my 200s waiting to take it's place for an autox.

How difficult was it to mount the xr200 headlight on there? Looks good.

I love the x man. Umm low profile plastics? please explain.... And whats so good about the autox? I have one and I was disapointed but I am starting to love it more and more.

Is anyone else only having half the pic showing up?

the xr200 was on there already but the rubber connectors were just stretched around the forks. I love my 200s motor that I just recently put a complete new topend into but riding the hard tail is real hard on my knees. I am sure I have knee arthritis. So the suspension in the rear should help. I thought there was a low profile fender? No, well then I gues I will need a set of normal rear plastics.

Pics yes, always show up half sized when a pic is attached.. Been that way for me for ever and a day.

Paid $400. Guy wanted $500, kinda of sad as I think his wife ws making him sell it. Oh well. I don't plan to autox it right now, only when this motor takes a poop. WHich by the way it sounds and runs will be roughly never..lol Don't know if it is DG or not. I will get better pics after work today.

I'm pretty sure that the plastics never changed from 83-85. The seat color changed from black to blue and the fork lowers changed from black to natural aluminum. I have an 85-86 250R front fender on my 83 200x and it looks much better.
