1980 110 ATC sub tranny cover

The original broken cover is on the left. Ebay replacement that was claimed to fit on the right with a new gasket that fits the replacement. Yet they don't fit. The one hole doesn't match. Any ideas on why they are so different? I'm hoping my local dealer can help next week when I stop in. As a last resort, I'll have it welded or I'll glue it back together.

The VIN# on the trans is TB02E-260577 and I can provide links to larger photos if needed. Thanks.

It could be a sub tranny cover from a different model (125, 200e, and others had them), or possibly they changed slightly on the 110.

Thanks. I'm not too sure of what to think right now. This poor 110 had the snot beat out of it. So I imagine anything could be possible.

I just decided to weld this puppy myself and get some gasket material for a home made gasket. I'm going with the weldit rod that you can use with a propane torch. Now to find some scrap to practice on.

you could use jb weld

I tried some of those rods on a valve cover. I gave up after about 4 rods. jim

Yeah, JB would probably be the safest thing to do. I already used some on the exhaust on this thing.

it would burn off the exhaust i think, the way to remove that stuff is to heat it
