Hey guys im new here and i thought id post here to ask since im stumped :wondering, My three wheeler runs starts idles just fine but when i turn the handle bar to either side full lock my idle goes up and then goes back down when i centre the bars... I checked to make sure i had enough cable slack and sure enough i did, also checked to see if my cable was getting stuck somewhere along the line but it was not. I read somewhere that the little plastic housing that splits the cable into 2 seperate cables has orings inside that hold the cables in place and those can wear out. So could it be that every time i turn my handle bars its moving the inside causing it to rev up or is it some other issue? Thanks in advance guys!

Good evening all, I am in need of some help with a BR 250es engine I purchased recently. First thing I did was break the engine down or what was left to be broken down and disassembled to do a visual inspection if you would, some of it was missing which I was aware of so I will be in the classifieds section very soon :beer. So thus far I have learned the shifter splines are gone so I managed to find one online. In the meantime waiting for that to come in the mail I submerged the engine is diesel fluid hoping to loosen and gunk or debris that might have found its way inside I got weeds and muck out of her. After popping the both side covers unbeknownst to me the is a arm on the opposite side of the shifter that must be taken note of when separating the case so my dilemma now what do I do now. Is there a neutral position that I must find now, how does one go about this? I attached pictures below. Thanks in advance.

Just kind of a backstory to start.... I bought this big red around 8 months ago from an older gentleman who bought it new in 1986. All he ever did with it was haul deer out of the woods and kept it in a garage all those years. He wanted it to go to someone who would use it and enjoy it like he did. Just thought I would share this amazing machine with like minded people.
