Hello folks! I am reviving my 86 350X from 14yrs of storage. All is going well and it's almost ready to ride for another 40 years! :D One thing I noticed is the rear is binding up and I can't easily push the trike around. I'm interested in a double row bearing carrier and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions of a brand I should look to purchase. The rear has a DuraBlue HD extended axle.

I bought one of the last 85 350X aluminum double row carriers back in 2007 and installed it in my 85 350X. I say this because I have not seen an 85-carrier available on eBay or Amazon lately. I believe it was a Lone Star carrier. I can push my 85 350X forward and back with one finger. The 86X I need both hands to push it around.

I asked Gemini AI the question and the following are the results:

For a 1986 Honda 350X running an extended DuraBlue HD axle, a billet aluminum carrier is the best choice over a factory cast unit because it won't flex or crack under the added leverage. Now that the engine is tuned and pulling cleanly without that mid-throttle bog, a heavy-duty twin-row setup will ensure the rear end can securely handle the torque.

The Niche Rear Axle Bearing Carrier For Honda Atc350x 1986 is an excellent plug-and-play upgrade for your trike. It is machined from 6061 high-grade aluminum and comes pre-packed with double-wide heavy-duty bearings that easily outlast factory single-row bearings. It also includes a highly convenient center-mounted Zerk fitting so you can quickly pack it with grease without tearing down the rear end.

Niche Rear Axle Bearing Carrier For Honda Atc350x 1986 $71.95Niche Industries 5.0 (2) Opens in a new window Another great option is the 1986 Honda ATC 350X Billet Axle ATV Bearing Carrier. This unit is heavily reinforced and machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum to exact OEM replacement specs. It arrives fully assembled with the double-wide bearings, central spacer, two new seals, and a grease fitting, making your installation quick and simple.

1986 Honda ATC 350X TRX300EX 300EX Billet Axle ATV Bearing Carrier | United States $79.00Honda Opens in a new window Both of these billet carriers will slide in smoothly and pair perfectly with your aftermarket axle. If you like, I can pull together some heavy-duty swingarm bearing kits or chain and sprocket combinations to completely finish out your rear-end rebuild. Do you want me to do that?

It's been a while since been over here in the forums. Wanted to give everyone a heads up that I'm now making plug and play CDIs you can adjust for the Tri-Z and the Tri-moto 2 strokes. The Tecate CDI got a redesign in the housing, but it's the same one I've been offering since 2019.

The Tri-moto CDI comes with a jig to help slot the stator for a +5 degree advance.

You can find them on my website at www.NastyFastParts.com

The Tecate is a replacement CDI
The Tri-Z and Tri-motos are performance CDIs with curves built in. Easy to use!

my 350x has motor mounts cut off to fit a 400ex motor in.
I bought a 250x quad for the 350x motor thats in it. ive got a ad looking for 350x frame or parts locally and this afternoon i get a message. got a 350x frame and motor! its a 1.5 hours away and it's already 330. he says for a extra 50 bucks he'll eat half way. deal, send a Pic! i see a small pic and I didnt stop to really pay attention.
its a frame, front and rear suspension and I see a muffler which ill need, axles and hubs. price is 300 bucks, like I was saying im happy at the price and the drive.
So we meet up at 5pm, 1st thing I notice is the headlight. 1 bulb and looks like a 250r or 250sx. try to kick it over and its stuck. then I notice the small intake manifold and really decided Let's stop and really look.
well theres 1 exhaust pipe not 2. the upper 350x motor mount is definetly not there! the front fender has a 350x sticker which is what the guy went off of.
well i see the frame sticker and its not a 350x. It's a 86 200x.
So what do you do? drove 45 minutes, seller was surprised its a 200x, and drove 45 minutes.
im looking tje thing over.
It's a solid frame, exhaust and a Coffman muffler.
front suspension triple is all there, missing the axle and hub
rear suspension is intact witb rear brakes. shock and swing arm axle and hubs and chain

motor is complete, the left cover bolts are loose so the oils gone.
wiring is all there except the coil and kill switch.
Do I need a 86 200x project? not really, does the seller need a project? for sure no, someone gave it to him
I asked what he planned on doing witb it? no idea, he doesnt do trikes. so I asked if i bought it, what would he let it go for? He tossed out 200, i countered 175. so I now have a 200x that I really have no idea what to do with it. I checked the vin and its clear. probably just go out and get a title on the frame.
got the cylinder soaking in oil,

So is the 86 87 200x have any parts that would swap from my 185s or 84 200x?
Or toss it all up for trade for 350x parts? And is it worth spending the 60 bucks to title it? jim

Hello everyone,

When I was growing up, we had a 1983 185S with a 3-inch Supertrapp exhaust, and I loved how it sounded. I purchased another 185S a few years ago, and I have found a Supertrapp exhaust for it. This exhaust came with a 4-inch muffler but purchased a 3-inch to replicate the setup I had years ago. The 4-inch has a bracket that will allow it to bolt up to the frame like the stock muffler (though I have yet to mock it up). The 3-inch muffler does not have a bracket or an apparent way to secure the rear of the exhaust to the frame.

Do any of you have suggestions as to how to accomplish this or can anyone post a picture of how a 3-inch muffler attaches to a 185S (Or I assume that a 200S would be the same)?

I suppose I could just use the 4-inch, but I prefer the vintage aesthetic of the 3-inch muffler.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Not sure why it posted double pics. Having issues with the BVC swingarm. Shock spring is only .022" from left arm and the bolts for the carrier housing are as tight as they will get. Look at that gap. These aren't the only issues I have had. More pics later.
Anyone else running one of these or attempted to?

It all started with this sleeve:
Yep, you can spot it, too. Ad said the wheels are prefect! They are not really perfect but they will work for me. I really needed the 2 above for my recon. They said they were for a Yamaha and wanted $20 for all 4.
Is that right? Did they put these 350x wheels on another machine?
