well very soon here my tecate frame will be getting painted and i want it to be the same color as the fenders or i guess you could call it "kawasaki green" but do any of you guys know the actual name of the color or where i could find the info at? i doubt that they would have 25yr old info like that on kawasaki's website but who knows. any help would be greatly apprecated!
The closest color match I have seen is grabber green in a spray can that you can buy at Autozone. I have some Kawasaki green PJ1 paint but it is a later model KX green that doesn't match the tecates.
do you know any details on the tecate in the group icon, i would love to have a replica of that, haha
It was for sale recently in the classifieds for $3500. Which was a steal to say the least. It had a nos UFO airbox, nos Bassani pipe and silencer, uber rare Cal Fab aluminum short track tank, white Maier plastics. The motor was rebuilt. There are a bunch of pics of it in one of the trikefest pic threads but I can't find it. The front Hoosier tire on it alone is rare. I have wanted that Tecate since I saw it the first time. It has now been sold to a new owner. the tecate kid was the owner of it.

whoa! that has to be the most pristine tecate i have ever seen before! only if over half of the parts on it werent dicontinued, its a shame mabey mine will look like that some day. Oh and i decided to go with "big bad green" for the frame and a metallic silver color for the swing arm axel an fork trees. I think that it will turn out prety good, it'll work for now seeing i spent only around $70 on paint lol
