Maier having a close out on front fenders for $40.42, good price? A Big Red fender is nearly a $100 shipped & 250r around $50-$60. Another question: Did anyone have a picture of the green 250r fender on their Tecate? Someone cut the fender for my Tecate down, but had sweet contours and shape, I jus' cleaned it up, how do you load pictures on this group site, different format.
I use photobucket, that way I don't have to fool with the attachments and the pictures are larger and easier to see.
I saw that Maier had front fenders on sale for that price. The thing that had me wondering is that they also had rear fenders for sale.
I did a quick check on the site, indeed the say they have them, but after you order check the shipping price, they want 52 bucks to ship me a front and rear fender to NJ, that's crazy money for sure! I knew there might be a catch, I know shipping is cheaper for sure-now if ROCKY MTN had them free shipping these days from them-save a bundle.I would like to order a set of fronts and rears but that shipping fees just burns me up---
They usually don't supply rears? Shipping's pissing me off too, needed a clutch cover gasket for 200x, dealership was out, $15 gasket and $15 shipping to get it to me in 3 days, someone found one on E-bay for me for $7 shipped. Build on honda cost over $150 alone to get parts, sucks. When I order from rockymountain or motosport, we try to spend a $100, come out cheaper than not.
Maier has discontinued the rears. They aren't making any more unless it's a special order for 10 sets.
That sucks royally. I am way past my trike budget (way, way) & was going to clean it up running wise, but next spring do the cosmetics (was planning on a 2-stroke, but my dream came early). Man, don't have the cash to blow. Hopefully in couple months there will still be a set, any other manufactuers, fiberglass lowpro, talented member? This will be my pride & joy 2-stroke.
