Thanx dcreel for your encouragement. Ryan (buddy) worked for harly davidson & a dirtbike enthusist (owned trikes & d.b.) stopped by to see the build and was impressed with the Tecate. "Here let me try sumthin'), checked for spark, none. Switched kill to off: spark. He hopped on kicked 4-5 times, it fired. Wired backwards. Tried to help bleed brakes. I under stand the 'violent, raw power' thing now. I'll have to get radiator fixed and jus' be easy. Thank you much dreel.- Robby.
Do you know how to solder?
Matter of fact one of the things I do for a living (sheetmetal), is the radiator aluminum? Tell me what to do sixpackrt, I can solder copper, coldrolled, stainless, or galv..
Here is a link to show how to solder aluminum. http://www.aws.org/wj/2004/02/046/
Thanx for posting sixpackrt. So, aluminum can be solderd with the same flux and solder I use on copper, did I read that right? I honestly never attempted, because I was told it could not be done. It didn't specify a name brand of flux or solder. Hey, have you done it before? What's it like? I may have the plumbing supplies to do this right now, ummm, correct?
Awesome man.. That's great news. I need to get a couple of radiators welded too. I have one good radiator, and it is missing the top mount. Now post some pictures of you riding it. ;-)
